Elizabeth Taylor Possibly Aided Michael Jackson's Drug Addiction

As the memorial service for Michael Jackson ends, new rumors come at an abundance. There is now talk that Dame Elizabeth Taylor, longtime friend of Jackson may be linked to Michael's alleged prescription drug dependency. The Daily Beast reports, Taylor influenced Jackson's prescription drug addiction by introducing him to Dr. Arnold Klein, the same doctor whom she revealed prescribed her several medications, including Dilaudid and Ativan, the first a powerful opiate that street users dub "the Bentley of heroin" and the latter a tranquilizer. According to a source Taylor sought help from at least two doctors to counter her growing drug dependence, many of which were prescribed by Klein.

According to The Daily Beast, Jackson began using some of the same pills as Taylor shortly after Dr. Klein started treating Jackson for for vitiligo. Klein was Jackson's cosmetic dermatologist and later introduced Jackson to his second wife, Debbie Rowe. Klein appeared on ABC's Good Morning America and stated that he had used sedation on the pop star in the past for appropriate medical procedures but had never prescriped him drugs. "I was not one of the doctors who participated in giving him overdoses of drugs or too much of anything. In fact, I was the one who limited everything, who stopped everything," Klein said.

Klein apparently saw Jackson 3 days before his death. It is known that Michael would make trips to Klein's office 2 - 3 times a week, visits lasting anywhere between 30 minutes - 5 hours. Los Angeles Police refused to comment on whether Dr. Klein is one of the five physicians being focused on in the Jackson investigation.
