Bueller?... Bueller?... Bueller?
Matthew Broderick gave Hollywood his approval to do a remake of his 1986 film, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." There have been rumors circulating for months regarding the revival of this classic '80s comedy. Although he backs the second showing of the iconic and rebellious character of Ferris Bueller, he does not want any role in the movie itself.
Broderick tells Cinematical, "(A remake) would be fine. I would be perfectly happy for somebody to do that. I probably wouldn't enjoy (having a role in the film). I would rather leave what we did as our thing."
The major appeal to "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," was its orginiality and obvious '80s style. It was a movie that used self-narration and developed quotes that people still use today. Bueller reminded viewers that life moves pretty fast and if we didn't stop and look around once in awhile we could miss it. Broderick created this character and it seems hard to imagine a Bueller without a Broderick.
