When this episode started out with Gossip Girl quoting my fave Rolling Stones' song (see quote on right) I knew it was going to be a good episode, and I wasn't disappointed. There was successful scheming, tender moments, stand-out lines, a party (duh) with Sno-Cones and pinatas, and some gorgeous embroidery and metallics. What more can a girl ask for?

Well, I suppose that I could ask that Chuck snap out of whatever fog of lust he's in and realize that Blair is the only one for him. What is up with making Chuck fall in love with every random girl he comes across?! Since the summer he's supposedly been in love with Eva, been in love with Blair again, and is now in love with Raina. How can the writers not realize how this cheapens everything? At this point I'm pretty much looking forward to the moment when Chuck realizes that Nate wooed Raina from him (could the girl be any more boring?!) and Blair is more than friends with her Humphrey.

Blair and Dan are officially my fave part of this show.

Seriously, though, these two are pretty freakin' adorable and I think it's a testament to the strength of Blair's character that she's my favourite with Chuck, Dan and Nate. And while Blair's character is constantly beat down (Could anything else have gone wrong for her this episode? She ended up wearing mismatched shoes. In. Brooklyn.), unlike can't-do-any-wrong Serena, she's lovable. Even if she tries so hard not to be.

I really enjoyed Chuck and Lily scheming together and hopefully we'll soon be seeing the backsides of the Thorpes. And to alleviate his house husband boredom Rufus is now going double agent. That was about as interesting as Vanessa's return. I am looking forward to her realizing she's been replaced as Dan's bestie. By Blair.

Since when has Serena stopped wanting to destroy her mother? I swear, I never miss an episode but sometimes this show jumps around so much it's like I missed months. I just keep thinking that if Ben and Serena were to stay together (we all know that's not going to happen) it will be the most awkward Thanksgivings known to man. I wonder how many episodes it will be until Ben is carousing with the Bass-Van der Woodsen-Humphries, totally forgetting what Lily did to him. At least they had him mention the beating up of Nate's dad in prison. Good reminder that a month ago this guy was far from stable. Hopefully his roll in the hay with Serena at the end of the episode was worth three years of hard time.
