FUSE Sits Down With Adam Lambert!

“Adam Lambert: On The Record with Fuse” Premieres January 11th at 8pm ET

New York, NY (January 6, 2010) – Fuse, Madison Square Garden’s national music television network, gets up close and personal with the former American Idol and headline-maker in “Adam Lambert: On The Record with Fuse.” Premiering on Monday, January 11th at 8pm ET during Fuse Idol All Stars, the program joins a lineup of shows featuring fellow Idol alum including videos from Kelly Clarkson, Chris Daughtry and more. Fuse host Toure’ sits down with Adam Lambert to talk about his latest single, coming out of the closet, and middle school.

The following are selected sound bites from the interview:

On his new album cover:

“People saw that cover and they were like ‘he looks a little feminine to me, I don’t understand.’ I’m like yeah… I had so much airbrushing on that picture on purpose. The hunky dory cover that Bowie did, Boy George and Motley Crue and Prince — like all these artists that did this over the top, lipsticky glammy thing. The minute someone from ‘Idol’ does it, who’s actually gay, it’s like ‘Oh No!’”

On middle school:
“Middle School was kind of an isolated time. I mean the only social outlet I really had was theatre and that was one day a week. I was in a childrens theatre group on Saturdays and that was really my social group. That was the one place where I felt like there were other kids like me.”About coming out of the closet:“It’s funny …This whole thing, talking about coming out. I don’t even think about it anymore until all of this started happening with my career. And it’s interesting now, because I am open and visible. I suppose it is important to talk about it, but the past eight or nine years of my life I haven’t thought twice about it, it’s just who I am.”

On collaborating with Pink:
“Next single we’ve started to promote is ‘"Whattya Want from Me." It was written by Pink and Max Martin who is a huge hit maker and I heard the demo that she recorded and it just broke my heart. The lyrics are just so honest and vulnerable and I think anybody can relate to the message in the song.”

Adam Lambert Gets Cut from More ABC Performances

American Idol runner up Adam Lambert has had yet another ABC performance canceled. The singer's recent performance at the American Music Awards caused ABC and the FCC do get thousands of complaints due to to Lambert's homoerotic performance which included kissing a male dancer. After receiving so many negative reactions ABC canceled Lambert's scheduled appearance on Good Morning America claiming that his stage performance was not suitable for a morning program. The network has just canceled yet another Lambert performance.

"Yes, sadly friends, ABC has canceled my appearances on Kimmel and NYE," Lambert wrote on his Twitter page. ":( don't blame them. It's the FCC heat."

As of right now the openly gay star is not planning on pressing charges or accusing ABC of homophobia. He is staying positive and hoping everything will blow over.

"I AM doing Leno though. And lookin into something for NYE," he Tweeted. "It'll all blow over. Let's focus on being positive! :)"

Most Fascinating People of 2009

Barbara Walters has decided who the most fascinating people of 2009 are. (So we didn't have to think about it ourselves.) Those appearing on the list include reality television mother Kate Gosselin, former vice president nominee Sarah Palin, and no-pants wearing singer Lady Gaga. Others appearing on the list include FOX news anchor Glenn Beck, producer Tyler Perry, and NFL quarterback Brett Favre.

The obvious choice for most fascinating person of 2009 is America's country singing sweetie-pie Taylor Swift. Her sold out concerts and high record sales are impressive for a girl of her age. Taylor Swift became a household name after Kanye West rudely interrupted her VMA acceptance speech.

The most questionable person who made the list? American Idol runner up, Adam Lambert. Lambert hasn't made much noise thus far, but has been hyped up by celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. Lambert has been in the news recently for kissing a male band member in a performance during the American Music Awards. Good Morning America canceled Lambert's appearance after this smooching incident.

Adam Lamber Finally Comes Out of the Closet - Officially

After months of speculation, rumors and suggestive photos, it's finally official: 'American Idol' runner-up Adam Lambert is coming out, telling Rolling Stone magazine that he's gay and proud of it. Even Lambert himself says that his admission probably won't come as a shocker to many. "I'm proud of my sexuality. I embrace it. It's just another part of me," Lambert says.

So why, exactly, did he save the news for a major magazine spread? "I didn't want the Clay Aiken thing and the celebrity-magazine bull----. I need to be able to explain myself in context," Lambert tells Rolling Stone. "Control of this situation" is very important to Lambert.

"I loved it this season when girls went crazy for me. As far as I'm concerned, it's all hot. Just because I'm not sticking it in there doesn't mean that I don't find it beautiful," Lambert (graphically) tells Rolling Stone. Lambert even goes on to share his feelings toward sharing a living space with 'Idol' champion Kris Allen. He says that when the show moved them in together, "I was like, 'Oh, s--t, they put me with the cute guy.' Distracting! He's the one guy that I found attractive in the whole group on the show: nice, nonchalant, pretty and totally my type – except that he has a wife. I mean, he's open-minded and liberal, but he's definitely 100 percent straight."

All of those older photos that hit the Internet purportedly showing Lambert kissing another man and dressed up in drag? Legit, Lambert says. "I've only dressed in drag three or four times – and of course I took pictures, because I looked amazing – but I don't tuck and I don't wear breasts, that's not me. Sucking my boy's face? Yes, that I will own," he joked.

Speaking openly about this subject matter hasn't always come easy for Lambert. He says that during school, he was "so scared" of his sexuality. He never even confirmed the news to his parents, who found out in shocking fashion. Through it all, Lambert says he's "finally checked in to my self-worth for the first time in my life, and the fact that it has coincided with 'Idol' is so sweet." Sure, he still has his self doubts, but, as he put it, "for the most part, when I look in the mirror now, I finally see somebody who can do something cool."

Kris or Adam? Who Is America's Favorite?

It all comes down to tonight's performances. Kris or Adam. Who will be the next American Idol?

America get your texting thumbs ready because tonight will be a close one. After tonight's anticipated peformances from predicted winner Adam Lambert to the dark horse, Kris Allen, it will be a real nail-biting results show tomorrow night. Adam who has been consistantly good throughout the season has had the judges votes to win the whole contest from the beginning but with Kris Allen sneaking up the past few weeks as one of America's fan favorites, don't mark Adam as a sure bet winner just yet.

Be sure to check in Wednesday night to see who takes the crown....and rumor has it that Britney Spears might just show up too!

Simon Cowell says Adam Lambert will win

Yesterday Simon Cowell told Oprah that he believes Adam Lambert will win this season of American Idol. What was his reason behind this prediction? "He's got swagger," Cowell said. He also expressed this same thing on Ellen DeGeneres' show last week. So in Simon's mind Danny and Kris do not stand a chance. Each of the remaining contestants are very strong, but Adam does seem to have something more that sets him apart.

But the winner is ultimately the result of America's voting, will this prediction of Simon's affect America's voting tonight? American Idol often has unpredictable results and since the judges already used their save Simon can not alter the voting outcome.
