Heidi Klum is Struggling to Lose her Baby Weight

German supermodel Heidi Klum – who gave birth to daughter Lou last month – admits it is more of a struggle this time around to get back into shape than it was after having her other children, Leni, five, Henri, four, and Johan, three.

“I wouldn’t say I’m back in shape yet," she said. "Everything changes when you get older. It was different when I was 31 with the first one and now being 36 with the fourth one.”

She is spending time on the treadmill and eating sensibly to try and get back in shape as she fears she will remain bigger forever if she doesn’t work on it now.

“I think that if you wait too long and it sticks there it stays that way forever," she said. "I have to be motivated.”

Meanwhile, her husband Seal has also spoken out about the family, admitting he was initially unsure of how having another baby would affect their lives.

“It’s a funny thing, having another child, because you have three kids who you love dearly and you think to yourself how could you possibly find any more love to give anyone else?” he told Celebrity Baby Blog.

“The first time you hold your baby in your arms there is this overwhelming sense of otherworldliness that is very, very difficult to describe.”

Seal and Heidi are exhausted from looking after their newborn – but agree it’s worth it.

“Sleep deprivation is kind of pretty much neutralised by what I call the amnesia gene," Seal added. "They look at you and you forget that when you have more kids.”

German supermodel Heidi Klum and her musician husband Seal welcomed daughter Lou Sulola Samuel into the world on Friday (10-09-09).

Seal said in a statement: “It's difficult to imagine loving another child as much as you love your existing children," Seal said in a statement. "Anyone who has a family will tell you this. Where will one find that extra love? If you love your existing children with all of your heart, how then can one possibly find more heart with which to love another?"

“On Friday, October 9, 2009 at 7.46pm, the answer to this question came in the form of our fourth child and second daughter. Lou Sulola Samuel was born, and from the moment she looked into both of our eyes it was endless love at first sight. She is beautiful beyond words and we are happy that she chose us to watch her grow over the coming years.”

The couple's new baby joins sons Henry, four, and two-year-old Johan together, while Heidi has five-year-old daughter Leni from a previous relationship.

The model recently revealed her stomach got so big towards the end of the pregnancy that her other children thought it was a toy to jump on.

“I had to stop them jumping on my tummy," she said. "They don't really understand there is actually a real human being in there.”
