It has been simultaneously made in Tamil as RAAVANAN with a slightly different cast. Vikram, who plays Dev in Hindi version, plays Veera, a Naxalite leader (Ravana) in Tamil version, whereas Prithviraj plays a Police officer. Abhishek Bachchan is there only in Hindi version; however Aishwarya Rai is there in both the versions. The film is also dubbed into Telugu and other regional languages. Mani Ratnam has approached the story from the perspective of Veera (RAAVAN). The music and lyrics of the movie are done by Oscar winners A. R. Rahman & Gulzar. The audio rights are with T- Series. RAAVAN, which hits the screens in June 2010, is jointly distributed by Madras Talkies and Big Pictures.

One of the most eagerly awaited films of the year is the Hrithik Roshan- Kangna Ranaut- Barbara Mori starrer Kites. While the film is likely to hit theatres only in the latter half of the year, it has already generated tremendous buzz among the trade circles. Everything right from Hrithik's sizzling hot chemistry with Barbara Mori to his super cool dance moves is being spoken about. However, not much is known about the film except for the fact that Hrithik plays a salsa dance instructor. The premise of the film goes like this:- In the harsh terrain of the Mexican desert, a mortally wounded man is left for dead in the heat of the desert sun. This is J (Hrithik Roshan) - once a street smart, carefree young guy and now a wanted man. As death looms, the only thing that keeps him alive is the quest to find the love of his life, Natasha (Barbara Mori). A woman, betrothed to another man, surely destined for J. A woman, who comes into his life like a bolt of lightning, and changes his life forever. Love is a moment. The moment J and Natasha saw each other, words were not necessary. In that moment, they knew instantly that they belonged together. But, something went wrong. The ensuing fight of the two lovers results in a deadly chase. J battles death but nothing can prepare him for what he is about to discover. Kites is a story of love that goes beyond barriers, boundaries and cultures. It is a story of passion that defies every rule, of a relationship which takes two lovers on a journey that is filled with violence and death, of precious moments that are unforgettable. A sneek-peak at ‘Blue’ movie

This March we await the release of perhaps the most anticipated and most expensive film of the year with top class cast and crew- ‘Blue’. Based on deep sea diving, the movie stars Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Zayed Khan, Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif as the principal cast who are out to find the deepest and darkest secrets hidden 250 feet below the ocean.

The film has been directed by debutant director Anthony D’Souza and produced by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. The film, which is India’s first ever underwater film has been shot in the most exotic locales of Bahamas.

Blue has music by double Oscar winner A.R.Rahman and also has Australian pop sensation Kylie Minogue rendering two tracks in her voice.

8 x 10 Tasveer - Preview

After the debacle of his last flick ‘Chandni Chowk To China’, Akshay Kumar will next be seen in a supernatural thriller ‘8 X 10 Tasveer’ directed by Nagesh Kukunoor and produced by Bhushan Kumar. The other cast members include Ayesha Takia, Sharmila Tagore, Javed Jaffrey, Anant Mahadevan and Piah Shah. The musical notes have been given by none other than the Oscar winner A.R Rahman.

The film is a story about young man named Jai Puri played by Akshay is gifted with special sense, i.e. he can go inside the 8X10 Photograph and enter in the past. While his body remains at nausea state, his soul is busy re-discovering the past, when he is out of his nausea he always has a secret related to someone’s past. His father was murdered, and one day he will witness the same scene from an 8X10 photograph.

Akshay had reportedly gone through some dark writings of Edgar Allan Poe and the 19th century French writer Guy de Maupassant to get into the skin of his role for the film.

Since Akshay wanted to understand the world of mystery and science fiction, he chose to make himself aware of supernatural and mystery thrillers which could help him pull off the role better.

Whether Sahil manages to meet Billo forms the climax of this comedy drama produced by Shah Rukh Khan. Billo Barber is a remake of the Malayalam film Kadha Parayumbol and Tamil film, Kuselan. Chandni Chowk To China, the first ever Bollywood Kungfu comedy takes you on a madcap Journey from the by- lanes of Chandni Chowk in Delhi, to Shanghai, the Great Wall and rural China, marrying in its wake hilarious gags, breathtaking action, spectacular locations, and heart stirring emotions.

Our protagonist Sidhu (Akshay Kumar) is the lowest on the totem pole, cutting vegetables at a roadside food stall in Chandni Chowk in Delhi.

He longs to escape his dreary existence and looks for shortcuts- with astrologers, tarot readers and fake fakirs - believing anything except himself, despite his father figure Dada's (Mithun Chakraborty) best efforts.

His redeeming moment arrives when two strangers from China claim him as a reincarnation of a war hero in the past and takes him to China. Sidhu now dreams of wine, women, and a princely existence in foreign lands.

Thanks to the devious translator, a conman by the name Chopstick (Ranvir Shorey), little does he know that he is being taken to the Promised Land to rid the Chinese village of the vicious smuggler Hojo (Gordon Liu)!

Therefore, Sidhu blissfully sets forth to China with Chopstick who instigates dreams of a delicious future and forgets to reveal the perils, which await him.

Along the way, he meets Sakhi (Deepika Padukone), Ms. Tele Shoppers Media (Ms. TSM) who has embarked on a journey to pay homage to the land of her birth and her dead father and twin.

Initially, Sidhu through a series of lucky coincidences manages to sidestep being beaten by Hojo's men but finally Hojo catches up with him and exposes him as the country buffoon that he really is. Sidhu has the fire of revenge in his belly and finds the one man who will make him a Kungfu expert and set the village free.

Armed with his Sifu (master), faith in himself and the love of the fair Sakhi, Sidhu sets forth to conquer all!
