People magazine is reporting that Jon and Kate Gosselin have filed divorce papers at the Bucks County Courthouse in Pennslyvania. This news comes before the airing of tonight's episode of "Jon & Kate Plus Eight" which promised a huge announcement, because by now I am pretty sure we can all safely assume what that announcment is going to be....not to mention Jon was spotted this past weekend searching out swanky apartments at Trump Plaza in New York City. No additonal information was given regarding the divorce papers and I am sure some more info will be revealed on tonight's episode airing on TLC.I feel so bad for those children caught up in this huge media fire storm, hopefully they will continue to have meaningful relationships equally with both parents, or has the damange already been done? Let's just hope most of the divorce proceedings stay out of the tabloids, however I can see an new frenzy starting over this news!
UPDATE: The announcement has been made, and just as suspected Jon & Kate are indeed separating. It certainly made for an awkward episode of the show! Jon plans to move out of the home and no doubt all the details will be revealed in the coming months through the tabloid frenzy. Wonder how much money TLC will offer the pair to reconcile?
